As most of you know I am a "rookie" at cartography. I stumbled across this site and was blown away by the talent and and passion of it's members. I have always been interested in Sci-Fi and Fantasy so this is a natural fit for me. For the last 25 years or so I have been involved in the creation and development of a campaign setting region The Kingdom Of Shendenflar. This region is on the Flanaess in the World Of Greyhawk Campaign setting. For most of the time that I have been writing about Shendenflar. It was enough to just denote a couple of new features on the original WoG continent map. (The Kingdom takes the place of the Wolf Nomad lands in the northern Flanaess). Now i find it's time to start detailing the Kingdom in line with my writing.Riverhewn the "Star of the North" is my first big project. I have a HUGE hand drawn map of Riverhewn that I have worked on and off for the last 15 years or so but it is not what I would call "good". I have recently considered formally publishing some of my writing and find that I need good maps, this is why I'm here. I also discovered that I enjoy cartography and enjoy the camaraderie of this Guild. now I freely admit I have a long way to go but I think I will enjoy the journey. I will use this blog to update details on the Kingdom and occasionally to just blow off steam. I hope you enjoy it as much I as I do.
