Welcome!
The Cartographers’ Guild is a forum created by and for map makers and aficionados, a place where every aspect of cartography can be admired, examined, learned, and discussed. Our membership consists of professional designers and artists, hobbyists, and amateurs—all are welcome to join and participate in the quest for cartographic skill and knowledge.
Although we specialize in maps of fictional realms, as commonly used in both novels and games (both tabletop and role-playing), many Guild members are also proficient in historical and contemporary maps. Likewise, we specialize in computer-assisted cartography (such as with GIMP, Adobe apps, Campaign Cartographer, Dundjinni, etc.), although many members here also have interest in maps drafted by hand.
If this is your first visit, be sure to check out the FAQ. You will have to register before you can post or view full size images in the forums.
Thank you D Hope your summer is going well. Haven't see you about much as of late, though I've been absent some also.
Thanks for the rep and comments on Haerlech. Your notice of 'the dead' prompted me to do a whole lot of stuff I might not have done otherwise.
Yeah, I could do another region - just let me know.
Hey Jim, if we don't end up filling out the rest of the countries with entrants, would you want to do another country? I know I'll probably pick up another one or two before it's done. It wouldn't be for another week or two. Just once we see who is joining in - whatever we have left over. If yes, or no, just let me know.
Hey Diamond, thanks for the rep on Umi. I've been so busy lately that it seems I missed that.
Thank YOU for the kind words.
Thank you Diamond. You know, it's the striving to make maps as well as those who were here on the Guild that pushes me to try more. And you are one of those whose maps have inspired me - keep mapping sir. You never know whom you are inspiring. Hope your holidays have been great. Happy new year D.
Thank you for the rep and comment Diamond. Always appreciated.
Thank you Diamond. That was the part I was most proud of.
Thanks Diamond. I will.
