Welcome!
The Cartographers’ Guild is a forum created by and for map makers and aficionados, a place where every aspect of cartography can be admired, examined, learned, and discussed. Our membership consists of professional designers and artists, hobbyists, and amateurs—all are welcome to join and participate in the quest for cartographic skill and knowledge.
Although we specialize in maps of fictional realms, as commonly used in both novels and games (both tabletop and role-playing), many Guild members are also proficient in historical and contemporary maps. Likewise, we specialize in computer-assisted cartography (such as with GIMP, Adobe apps, Campaign Cartographer, Dundjinni, etc.), although many members here also have interest in maps drafted by hand.
If this is your first visit, be sure to check out the FAQ. You will have to register before you can post or view full size images in the forums.
Plus, I've got so much work and (good) things going on in my life that I do not even have time to think of one to pick
I totally understand that Ok. well, you will get what you get I'm sure it will be a fun one.
Thanks John but I really like the idea of not having the choice in that matter. It's like writing, ideas come more easily when you got something imposed to you
Hey Thomas - do go ahead and pick your preference. There's no harm in letting us know which area you might prefer to do.
Thanks John, I'm also glad to see it done. It's pretty cool to try new things and to work with someones needs and desires. It helps being creative.
Merci Thomas
Bon anniversaire John !
You're welcome ! EDIT : sorry, wrong clicking ...
It's always good news when you try something new. Can't wait to see it !
Thanks Thomas I'm trying to do a new map of a larger area of Harlasea, though.. going to try a different style, not perspective.
