Welcome!
The Cartographers’ Guild is a forum created by and for map makers and aficionados, a place where every aspect of cartography can be admired, examined, learned, and discussed. Our membership consists of professional designers and artists, hobbyists, and amateurs—all are welcome to join and participate in the quest for cartographic skill and knowledge.
Although we specialize in maps of fictional realms, as commonly used in both novels and games (both tabletop and role-playing), many Guild members are also proficient in historical and contemporary maps. Likewise, we specialize in computer-assisted cartography (such as with GIMP, Adobe apps, Campaign Cartographer, Dundjinni, etc.), although many members here also have interest in maps drafted by hand.
If this is your first visit, be sure to check out the FAQ. You will have to register before you can post or view full size images in the forums.
Hehe, I don't think you had that cute little Mouse Chashio did as your pic last time. Thanks for the rep and vote, Mouse, and maybe my styles changed a bit, I certainly enjoy doing more vintage style pieces and trying out some different things. Anyway, looking good for the voting, look at that mouse soar!
Thanks for the rep, vote and comment, Greg And you know me. Always with the colours!!! I just can't resist them
A very Happy Mappy Birthday Greg! At least you get sunshine for yours!
I'm also a little sad. Going to miss the competition Still - you definitely won it fair and square. A beauty of a map with a sense of humour, and 90% of the vote! Congratulations
Thanks for the rep and comment, Mouse. I'm also slightly sad, as it'll be a little weird not being in the Lite Challenges anymore.
You're welcome - as ever, a beautifully drawn map
Thanks for the rep, Mouse, I was quite happy with my little happy wyvern too.
You're very welcome, Greg I'm sure your colours are down to more than just the monitor!
Thanks, as always Mouse, for the the rep, comments and the vote! I just bought myself a monitor, so we'll have to see if my colours change too much!
Thanks for the vote, the rep and the lovely comment on Finding the Fleet, Greg I'm glad you liked it! EDIT: there are so many visitor messages flying around right now that I overlooked to answer yours! I forgot all about the paper when I saw the drawing and the colour! LOL! You blew my mind away
