Welcome!
The Cartographers’ Guild is a forum created by and for map makers and aficionados, a place where every aspect of cartography can be admired, examined, learned, and discussed. Our membership consists of professional designers and artists, hobbyists, and amateurs—all are welcome to join and participate in the quest for cartographic skill and knowledge.
Although we specialize in maps of fictional realms, as commonly used in both novels and games (both tabletop and role-playing), many Guild members are also proficient in historical and contemporary maps. Likewise, we specialize in computer-assisted cartography (such as with GIMP, Adobe apps, Campaign Cartographer, Dundjinni, etc.), although many members here also have interest in maps drafted by hand.
If this is your first visit, be sure to check out the FAQ. You will have to register before you can post or view full size images in the forums.
Thanks for the rep and comments on Haerlech
Just been busy (work, ugh) and tired (too much cycling) and waiting for inspiration to strike (it keeps missing!) I'm hoping to get stuck in this weekend, so hopefully I'll have something next week. Had to put my pirates to the side for now too, but I'll get back to that when GuildWorld is done.
What's holding you up? I keep looking for your thread - where arrrr those pirates If you have anything you want to discuss about it, PM me. I know you had said in the past that rpg wasn't really your thing.
Hehe, you're sleeping on the job! But seriously, thanks for all the work you're putting in with the GuildWorld stuff. If you need a hand with anything, just holler. I haven't even started my own map yet.
I was just browsing the Twitter feed and saw the On The Map interview and I realized I had forgotten to post about that. Glad you did. Otherwise I wouldn't have seen it and posted it.
Thanks, J. I'll be channelling 'Pirate' for the next few weeks.
Well, it looks like you've got a whole hen house there to count.
Thanks for the rep, but I'm not counting my chickens just yet!
That it does. Some of that 'making a living' is fun, but not much.
Damn this 'making a living' stuff! It gets in the way of all the fun.
