Welcome!
The Cartographers’ Guild is a forum created by and for map makers and aficionados, a place where every aspect of cartography can be admired, examined, learned, and discussed. Our membership consists of professional designers and artists, hobbyists, and amateurs—all are welcome to join and participate in the quest for cartographic skill and knowledge.
Although we specialize in maps of fictional realms, as commonly used in both novels and games (both tabletop and role-playing), many Guild members are also proficient in historical and contemporary maps. Likewise, we specialize in computer-assisted cartography (such as with GIMP, Adobe apps, Campaign Cartographer, Dundjinni, etc.), although many members here also have interest in maps drafted by hand.

What Rep points are? They basically are a way of tracking progress in a sense. They tend to get 'handed out' by members who think the map (or even comment/idea) was exceptionally good. The amount of rep someone gives out slowly increases over time due to a variety of factors (post numbers, their own rep total, etc.). If you go to the FAQ section of the guild (under the forum tab on the top bar) there is a section on reputation (I tried to include a link but it is not allowed, which makes sense).
thank you for my first rep points can you explain, what this means? (wanted to ask earlier but first I wasn't able to comment here due to me being new and then I couldn't find the message again )
