Welcome!
The Cartographers’ Guild is a forum created by and for map makers and aficionados, a place where every aspect of cartography can be admired, examined, learned, and discussed. Our membership consists of professional designers and artists, hobbyists, and amateurs—all are welcome to join and participate in the quest for cartographic skill and knowledge.
Although we specialize in maps of fictional realms, as commonly used in both novels and games (both tabletop and role-playing), many Guild members are also proficient in historical and contemporary maps. Likewise, we specialize in computer-assisted cartography (such as with GIMP, Adobe apps, Campaign Cartographer, Dundjinni, etc.), although many members here also have interest in maps drafted by hand.
If this is your first visit, be sure to check out the FAQ. You will have to register before you can post or view full size images in the forums.
You're welcome! I love autumn trees...
Thanks for the REP, the Vote and the nice comments!
Thanks for the rep, Bogie!
I have emailed Profantasy - there was another member here who asked almost exactly the same question, so I will put the answer on the finished maps thread.
I don't know, Bogie. Because I own CC3 I just 'install' the annual, which unpacks everything ready for use. I can access the png files from the unpacked folder, but whether that means you could install the annual on a machine without CC3 I have absolutely no idea. The only people who can answer that question are Profantasy. I will ask for you
Are the art files in a standard .png format that I could buy the annul and pull the houses out to use them in another program like photoshop?
Thank you for the rep and comment, Bogie! I'm glad you liked it. I get a lot of pleasure making stuff that people enjoy
Thank you for the lovely comment, the vote and the rep, Bogie
