Welcome!
The Cartographers’ Guild is a forum created by and for map makers and aficionados, a place where every aspect of cartography can be admired, examined, learned, and discussed. Our membership consists of professional designers and artists, hobbyists, and amateurs—all are welcome to join and participate in the quest for cartographic skill and knowledge.
Although we specialize in maps of fictional realms, as commonly used in both novels and games (both tabletop and role-playing), many Guild members are also proficient in historical and contemporary maps. Likewise, we specialize in computer-assisted cartography (such as with GIMP, Adobe apps, Campaign Cartographer, Dundjinni, etc.), although many members here also have interest in maps drafted by hand.
If this is your first visit, be sure to check out the FAQ. You will have to register before you can post or view full size images in the forums.
Hi there, have been over to your blog. There is no activity in the last time. Any chance of a new map here on cartographers guild. I´m a fan
Hah thank you ^^ , but being in an illustration program I get funny looks for always useing neat lines when i should be spraying paint XD And as far as making them clean I just use Photoshop -- every one has different line quality , I'm just anal about messy edges and like it all to be crisp and clean.
Looked at your blog after you won the last challenge. Awesome. I can always imagine, but I can´t get it to paper without feeling like a complete idiot for just trying One thing I really like are the clean lines in your buildings. Nothing is out of place. How is that done? Ah.. forget it. Oneday I´ll get it. Good luck with "The city of Thesus".
