Welcome!
The Cartographers’ Guild is a forum created by and for map makers and aficionados, a place where every aspect of cartography can be admired, examined, learned, and discussed. Our membership consists of professional designers and artists, hobbyists, and amateurs—all are welcome to join and participate in the quest for cartographic skill and knowledge.
Although we specialize in maps of fictional realms, as commonly used in both novels and games (both tabletop and role-playing), many Guild members are also proficient in historical and contemporary maps. Likewise, we specialize in computer-assisted cartography (such as with GIMP, Adobe apps, Campaign Cartographer, Dundjinni, etc.), although many members here also have interest in maps drafted by hand.

LOL. Now that is quite an image. I'm going to try it next time I livestream and have a bunch of viewers who are stone silent while I ramble on feeling like I'm making a fool of myself. Thanks for the tip.
Hey Mearrin69. I'd be very interested in watching that video. Unfortunately I have to wait for my monthly broadband allowance to renew itself before I get too ambitious with the downloading! I will go and find it and bookmark the page About the row - In the thick of it, just after the second comment, I felt a bit like the TV presenter who stubbornly carries on, regardless of the fact that there's a storm blowing the set away! The phrase "...And now for the latest news" kept popping into my head, which helped me to smile, but before very long I was suddenly surrounded by Community Leaders and Administrators. I'm very grateful for all your support, and I can't thank you all enough.
Heya. Thanks so much for that. I've been enjoying developing the style that led to Ningan. If you're interested, I'm doing a video tutorial series on my YouTube channel. I've got links in the tutorials section and maybe my regular post signature. BTW, sorry about the recent row in your thread. Unfortunate. Don't think any offense was intended but folks need to learn when to reel it in. You guys all reacted like pros though.
Hi Mearrin69. I just dropped by to say thanks for the rep, but I somehow ended up being nosey and looking at your album. I love the Ruins of Ningen (hope I remembered the spelling right). If my city is even half as good as that when I've finished it I shall be very proud of myself. M
