Welcome!
The Cartographers’ Guild is a forum created by and for map makers and aficionados, a place where every aspect of cartography can be admired, examined, learned, and discussed. Our membership consists of professional designers and artists, hobbyists, and amateurs—all are welcome to join and participate in the quest for cartographic skill and knowledge.
Although we specialize in maps of fictional realms, as commonly used in both novels and games (both tabletop and role-playing), many Guild members are also proficient in historical and contemporary maps. Likewise, we specialize in computer-assisted cartography (such as with GIMP, Adobe apps, Campaign Cartographer, Dundjinni, etc.), although many members here also have interest in maps drafted by hand.

Thank you very much for the rep comment snodsy !
Thanks, the Silk Road was a fun one, I use it as my screen background from time to time. I still lurk in the background and watch some of the incredible maps coming out, maybe I'll be inspired and do a map soon. But been doing a lot of woodworking instead. Always love your work, keep it up!
Thank you for the rep comment snodsy. I actually had a good loock at your Silk Road map before making mine for some ideas. I miss you and your maps here !
Thanks for the reputation
Thank you for rep. I totally agree with the type thing. I love arc but unfortunately this piece was done in Krita and it doesnt provide a fast arc text feature. The only option to do that is to place every letter separately, position it and then rotate. It is too much work and in addition Krita become very clunky with a lot separate text :/
