Hello all.
If you'll remember, I entered the September 2015 Regular Challenge with a map entitled "The Durnstel Estimates." It was actually the first digital map I had worked on, and I did it in Google Drawings (something to which I am still handicapped today).
I didn't end up winning the challenge, which is perfectly fine, as I am an interested high-schooler and many of you are professionals. I did, however, learn a LOT about digital mapping and such, so I'm really glad I entered.
I just now got around to printing the thing, and it's a lot bigger than I expected. While some of you (all of you) might know the right canvas sizes and whatnot to print the industry standard sizes, I did (and I do) not. So the resulting map was really quite large.
Not too shabby for digital map No. 1?
Eventually I will frame it and hang it!
Anyways, seeing it in person sort of inspired me to write this post. Anyone else have a similar experience?
