Dear cartographers,

I am looking for assistance to create a new Ticket to Ride map on Mongolia. I am starting to use Inkscape, though I have yet limited knowledge in using drawing softwares. 2 main challenges:
1 - To create an elegant background, looking like old maps
2 - To create an adjustable network of cities linked by connecting paths.

Conditions for the city/path network:
- I should be able to move the cities and have the connected paths to move along, in order to adjust: to the real location of the real cities of Mongolia, but also to keeping the predefined length of the the paths.
- The paths need to be made of logs. Each log should have the same size. If the path is longer, it should be made of more logs. Besides, I need to be able to change the color of the filling and the aspect of the outline of the logs
- As the number of logs between cities is predefined (though can be adjusted eventually), it should be possible to lock or to unlock the length of the paths.

Anybody has experience and can help ?
