Question What do I need to use Campaign Cartographer?

So I've been looking into Campaign Cartographer and I was a little confused with all the bundles and additional assets, if I just get Campaign Cartographer from their website can I start using it, like are there already assets in there, or do I need to buy everything separately?

There is a good assortment of assets included in the base product. They have a huge assortment of additional assets and specialized tooling to make certain types of mapping easier (for example, the city designer product makes mapping out cities easier). The annuals are an additional source of artwork and inspiration.
Mostly, though, what you need is a bit of patience to work through the intro tutorials. Campaign cartographer is at its heart a cad program with a lot of stuff grafted on top of it and it can take a bit of getting used to if you're mostly familiar with paint-type programs

    Default if it still matters....

I have had CC for many moons and have all the power-ups. You can have a fine time with just the base package, especially now that you can use .png files as symbols within the program.

Have a look at the Annual add-ons, as you can find map styles, fonts, and symbols all packaged up for easy use. And you buy them by individual year, so for $20 or so you get about 12 different styles. If you find one in particular you like, that can be a cheaper way to fill in some more tools and objects to use.
