So I just spent a week drawing the maps for Expedition to Barrier Peaks.
Now i just have to work out ho to run the game and find people to play it, who have no idea about it!

Have to admit I'm not familiar with the game, but nice work on the maps!
"We are the music makers, and we are the dreamers of dreams"
I'm not familiar with D&D either, but these look great. I think I like level 4 the best (due to the colors)... it's my understanding that these levels are supposed to be layered on-top of one another?
The best maps are the ones we like the most after looking at the longest.
I ran a campaign that culminated here.
Early in the campaign the party became aware of trouble along a trade road. They get more and more involved as they get to higher levels (while reopening an old mine and otherwise doing things that help the local economy and the council of lords) until they are tapped to check out what's going on. That lead to the classic "Dwellers of the Forbidden City" module where the Yuan Ti of the forbidden city are attacking the trade caravans.
Turns out they are doing this because population pressure from the north has them seeking more food and goods and they can no longer hunt north of the Forbidden City.
Turns out that the jungle north of the Forbidden City is sandwiched between the city and the Barrier Peaks and the adventure in question has been causing the release of strange monsters into the jungle.
Dyson's Dodecahedron
an RPG blog, with a few maps
Pretty much all my maps are drawn by hand - ink on paper - and then scanned and contrast-enhanced
Very nice work. I love the contrast on the 4th level. I'll have to dig up the module and give it a look (cackles in glee rubbing hands together...)
