This is a WIP for another board game design I am working on. It is a light fantasy wargame, called Ravenland.

Hey Torq! I've never actually seen any of your maps but I've seen you when I browse through old threads. Welcome back.
These aren't generally my favorite type of maps, but you've done a good job here. Definitely a 'board game' feel to it.
Thanks Josiah VE. I've moved away from mapping per se and have got into board game design. I rely constantly on the stuff that I picked up in the time I was active on this board. Doing maps for board games is very different because you are mapping for functionality rather then artistic look. I'm finding it quite difficult.

Well im interested, do you have rules for this game?
It's definitely a balancing act. I find trying to make up wargame maps is a challenge because most of the grognards (old die-hard wargame players) that play could care less about the art as long as it allows them to quickly and easily determine what the terrain is they are playing on...but the publishers want more art to draw in the more casual gamers.you are mapping for functionality rather then artistic look
