    Wip Hydraotes Chaos - Mars

My first map/illustration in an hour!

Could add labels and life form elements (debris, structures, etc) later. but was fun to do a quick one.

I took a screen shot of a video flyover of mars for the background and manipulated it and did the line work and some additional shadowing over top. (this might be a copyright violation if it wasn't a personal project?

    Comments welcome.

For an hour, pretty good job snodsy. Definately would like to see it with a bit more detailed shadows and some structures maybe, like a base or so.

Its got the most gorgeous colours! Are they from the original screen shot, or are they all of your own making?

Wonderful composition. You've got a great eye for that Snodsy. Even just choosing the moment of the flyover you never seem to get it wrong

Thanks, I may add the alien adventure to it to back up the storyline. I did watch the flyover a few times and have about 30 screen grabs, but this did seem pretty nicely composed. I've really only added the caves and shadows, and took the layer opacity of the screenshot down some. It was fun!

This is really impressive, especially considering that it's done in 1 hour. You've drawn the elevation very convincing (that's something you excel at!). The hills/ranges below the title I like the most!

Nice work. Particularly impressed with the shadowing you were able to pull off in only an hour. Were you using a pen and tablet?

Very well done (I wouldn't have been able to do something like this in 1 hour!). The color choices and the shading are top notch!
