Default March 2022 Challenge: Map a Habitat - VOTING

This month's challenge was to create a map depicting the habitat of an animal or creature of some kind.
The challenge only had two entries this time around, but both participants created great maps. You can see them here: Link

Vote away, and don't forget to bestow some rep on the entries as well!

Thank you. I didn't even hope for it. I expected more competition, but I'm still pleased. I'm glad the painting made so many people happy.

An investigation or assessment of an area's ecology, including the identifying of wildlife habitats, is known as habitat mapping. The presence of dominating species and/or protected areas may be included in additional mapping data. Local governments undertake habitat mapping in a variety of methods, based on why the community is studying the region in the first place. "Computer-based data storage, manipulation, and display are becoming the standard," according to the report. Once a local community has completed habitat mapping, the knowledge may be used for a variety of objectives, including urban planning, conservation administration, awareness campaigns, habitat creation, and preservation. Developers may be required to comply with mapping, demonstrating that the development plan will not impact habitats, or perform the mapping, depending on the ordinance. The first stage in making a habitat map is to employ a mathematical formula to calculate the "geographic coordinates to Earth's surface" and depict them in two dimensions, resulting in a projection that approximates or imitates Earth's shape. After the map has been generated, a coordinate system is utilized to give points to the map's flat surface. The community may then decide which priorities and traits will be included in the habitat map once this mechanism is in place. After that, a team of specialists is dispatched to gather information on the habitats in the area, and also species composition, and any other relevant data.
