Map The ship beyond time - commission maps

    Hey guilders !

Last year, I was commissioned by Harpers Collins to make two maps for author Heidi Heilig and her book "The Girl from Everywhere". This year, HC commissioned me again two maps for the second book of the serie "The ship beyond time", which has just been released a couple weeks ago.
This time, the main character's ship is traveling beyond time and lands to the south pacific in 1901 and to the fictional town of Ker-Ys, near France coasts, in the 17th century.

Here's the two color version of the maps . Hope you'll like it,as usual, feel free to rate, rep or run away

Lovely work as always, Max. I really like the red-coloured linework in the second map. It's quite attention grabbing and very appealing. And the octopus compass rose in the Australia map is the best thing I've seen this week!

    Hope I can rep.

Thanks CP ! Octopus monster was something required by the client so I have to admit I don't know how it's related to the story or the map

Well, two clean and excellent maps (no surprise here). The second is also more appealing to me.

Nice maps Max. The first map looks amazingly authentic. If it weren't for the compass I would have thought it was straight from an atlas or textbook.

Can't rep you at the moment...

Oddly enough I like the classical map the best. It takes a lot of skill to make a map that looks like it came from an atlas

Wow, I especially like the South Pacific map you made, love to see some water depth indication on it, too. It looks great!
Sadly I can't rep you at the moment again, but be sure I would have. =)
