    Default Finished Map Halycon Isles

A third endeavor with a hypsometric relief style and modern map icons. Also tried out a rudimentary road atlas format. Tried a paper texture overlay. Feedback appreciated.

Looks absolutely amazing, like a realistic hiking map! Everything about it is just perfect! I'm definitely going to try a similar style in the future. Love it!

If you're really going for that "realistic printed" look, i'd recommend the colors to be slightly offset from one another in different directions to produce slight irregularities like printing offsets and overlaps. You would also want to add a slight blur/bleed to each of the color layers. The paper texture would also need a different type of filtering/screening/transparency settings.

Wow; thanks so much for the kind words; glad you liked it and I will definitely research your suggestions (slowly incorporating feedback into each new map I’ve been doing).

Nice style with a well-thought out layout on the whole piece. I'm a texture junkie so I'd love to see more of it, but maybe for a clean atlas style such as this it's better not to overdo it. I'm not entirely sold on these coastlines, but I think the elevation looks good. Keep at it!
