Best way to draw icey landmasses?

How's it going fellow cartographers, so I'm reasonably new to cartography and I have started to enjoy it significantly, so I guess this is sort of my first introductory post and proper foray into the cartography community. Currently I'm working on an arctic themed map with a portion of the landmass being completely made of ice - I was wondering if anyone had any good tips to better portray the difference in and icey landmass to a tundra?

The difference between a tundra and an icemass depend on the season. In winter, which last almost 6 months, the differences are minimal as both are covered by snow.
Although the tundra has some vegetation that could stand out.

In summer the ice caps look the same.
The tundra can look like a barren landscape or a lush field teeming with life.
It depend if the place is arid or not. A tundra is only defined by the temperatures not the precipitation/vegetation.
Therefore, 2 tundra can look very different.

For example, La Paz in Bolivia has a tundra climate but they can grow plants and trees.
