    Post Sers!

    Hello,
I'm Ruedy from Germany, more precisely Ruhr district ("Ruhrgebiet").
My school-english is quite ****ty, so I think the comunication with me is a little bit straining.

I hope with "leo.org" in my Bookmarks does it works.

My interest in Maps based on the German-Virtual-Nation-Scene and I drew a few miscellaneous Maps.

It's nice to be in a Board with people who shares my interest in fictive cartography!

    Greets!

    Welcome Ruedy,

Don't worry about your English while we don't worry about our German.

    A Question...

My interest in Maps based on the German-Virtual-Nation-Scene

    ???

    What is the German-Virtual-Nation-Scene?

Oh sorry, I think there is a mistake in my translation. With "Scene" I mean "Community". I thought "scene" is like the German word "Szene", which in Germany also imply "Community".

The German-Micronation-Community ist a conglomeration of ca. 50 fictive Web-Nations mostly based on own Forums/ Boards.
The nations simulate their own culture, politics, economy, sports etc.pp.
It´s a little bit like RPG.
They have diplomacy among themselves and even world-maps like this:
    Link

The examples of the nations are often real cultures/nations. For instance, we have a nation called "United States of Astor", that simulate a nation like the U.S.A.
But also we have pure fantasy-nations without a actual ideal.

Don't worry about your English; you are doing fine. I am regularly impressed by how many Europeans know English and how well they know it. I know some basic vocabulary but that's about it.

    Diene karte ist toll!

Dankeschön, das ist nett von dir!
    Thanks!

In Germany, english is a compulsory subject at school.
So every German learn this speech. In my school-time it starts when I was ten, today the kids learn it in elemantary-school with 6-10 years.
In my case I learned english from ten to nineteen, but it is about eleven years ago and in my profession it is not relevant, so I could understand every sentence but I have no practical experience in articulation.

But in this guild I have a good chance to refresh my english and I like it.
