*** June 2018 Challenge: Map a Frontier ***

This month's challenge is to map a frontier or transitional zone of some kind. This could be a literal frontier or even a conceptual one. It can be a large area or small. Style and genre are up to you. Some ideas:

- Map a part of the American Old West
- the transition from life to death
- a space frontier, like the Neutral Zone from Star Trek
- the ocean floor, as in the dropoff from continental shelf to the depths, or from beach to water, etc
- the area between the Blight and the civilized lands in the Wheel of Time books
- the borders of a quarantined area
- the treeline of a mountain range, or other major ecological/geological transition areas

Remember that you MUST:
1) Title your threads like this: June 2018 Challenge: << your title here >>
2) Use a ### Latest WIP ### tag in front of all your work-in-progress pictures

I'm really sorry to have had to pull out of this one! It was a great challenge idea and there are some superb entries. I am particularly taken with Ten with it's very fine line work and clear shading, however voting is going to be very difficult. Excellent entries also by aeshnidae, Lizardink, Mistybeee and Weery too!
