Default silly question about locked doors

    hi folks

how do you think i can represent a locked door in a dungeon map? classic style, like white and blue basic D&D or 1ed AD&D.
i know how to do open door, closed door...but what should i do for a locked door? (keeping the old school style)

    Hi rossik,
in d&d or ad&d, as far as I know, there is no symbol for a locked door but you can find other maps with the door symbol and for a locked one, there's 2 dots in the door.

Could just draw a door and put a key over it, or a padlock I guess. Some doors inherently look locked. like if it had chains and stuff all over it, but that would require perspective or iso view I think.

    Yes!Thanks, folks!

I loved the idea of a lock or a key, but i was looking for things like the first exemple. Simple as double dots

I use a padlock symbol for anything that's locked on my maps.
