Wip Map 56 - No name yet but expect something south-american

Hello people, I dove into the Guild World !

Not much has been done yet but the working file is ready, you can check it below :

    56 - copie.jpg

I slightly reworked the coast adding some islands to get a more fractured feel. I wanted some aleutian type chain of islands that you can see in the north-west.

This region will be inhabited by native american-like cultures. As the country stretches form approximately 7° south to 37° south, I plan to put this tropical and subtropical location to good use. Deep jungles (Amazonia), dry plains (pampa) , desertic plateaus (Attacama), degree pyramids with sacrifice to dark gods, nomadic tribes, chamans ... clichés but solid clichés. I might rework a little bit the water system to get my big fat river but I still haven't decided. Maybe a volcano and definitely a pleistocene fauna. Next step will be to place some mountains and to be frank, the spacing between the ridges confuses me a little so I'm gonna take time to check how some others have played with their mountains and use their work as inspiration but of course, you can expect Andes-like mountains with high peaks and hidden cities.

It looks like a funny adventure.

Cool and a thanks for posting the map with just the outline. That makes it easier for me to incorporate it into the composite map later on. Looking forward to seeing how this progresses.

I'll really start durinc the summer but the schedule is a little bit crowded at the moment. I've done tons of research about cultures and biomes and I'll try to post a rough work sketch soon with the places for forests, pampa and such.

I still want to go at it, I even wanted to do two maps with pretty much the same features (few differences though) but with two color palettes. And I'll do it !! But I dunno when

My last post here this year will be to resurrect my Guildworld country.

I enhanced the size of the file and redrew the coast. Black is the coast of the country, blue are the other coasts and red is the border with other countries. I solemnly promise that I'll finish it in the next two month (I postponed it way too much).

    Here's the new file.

Mappy new year (in advance here) to all of you my fellow guild mates

Tu m'as fait peur! Pour un moment je croyais que c'était ton dernier ''post'' sur le forum tout entier, une chance que tu as ajouté ''cette année''...
We all wish to create, but do we really create?
What we draw and what we write is part of us.
No we do not create, we simply discover who we are.
