Wip July/Aug '19 Lite Challenge: The Last Retreat

I'm quite new to this forum and just read about this contest. It sounds really nice, so I thought: let's give it a try.

The idea is that the first shape is a large ocean and the second shape is a big island inside that ocean. All around the edges of the (known) world are wastelands or otherwise uninhabitable climates. Those areas are getting larger by the year, slowly crouching upon the last stronghold of civilization with its center on the Island.

No idea yet how it will turn out (both the map as this post ) but we'll see! (oh... there is a preview button down there, so I do actually know how this post will turn out. Only the map left to do).

Great map! I like the color palette you used and the mountains are real nice.

    Welcome to the Challenge!

Added some more colors and detail. The wild lands are slowly getting closer to the beacon of hope! (that's still empty and not on the map yet)

The gods are angry and the world suffers. Can Little Pine stand up against them and save the people of Silk Thread Isle?
