Default Apr/May '21 Lite Challenge: Ilsif Um Sighsa Ungi

Ilsif um sighsa ungi (/ilˈziv um ˈzik.sa‿ʊ̯ŋ.gi/): The island of the West. Lost in the middle of the Ocean, it's hiding something. I don't know what yet though!

I'm new to this workflow, there's a lot of figuring out to do! Here's an improvement of the vector version I'll probably start working from.

This is rather neat so far. Is this sort of a height map thing (my technical language is really deserting me here )?

Topographic! But height map is fine too. And yeah, that's what I specialise in. This is only the second time that I use another technique than drawing all the lines manually though. This time I painted in PhotoShop, processed the outcome in Wilbur to make it look more realistic, and rendered it in Inkscape.

Colours and shading done for now! It's actually the first time I get to make shadows. I think it's isn't too bad, what do you guys think?

It looks really good. It's a lot of work, but well worth it.

Thanks! Not so much, to say the truth! It took me 7 hours so far but that's because I had to figure out each step of my new workflow.
