Default Request for a fantasy world map

I’m looking for help making a world map for my fantasy novel. It will used in the novel once published and of course you’ll receive full credit. I know exactly what I want on the map and where everything will go. I’m just struggling with getting it drawn out. I’m not inclined for these things at all.

Please let me knowing we can collaborate on this.

    Thank you!

    Hey hey!

Yeah, it is always so easy to get a concept in your head but a bit trickier to flesh it out.

I'm curious to what kind of map you are looking for. Just basic muted colors? Or do want both a full color one to help with publication and the basic color one.
Super detailed, or more old functional.

And what kind of budget and deadline are you looking at?

The more details on the project you give, the easier it is for us to know it is something that suits our drawing styles.

I was wanting one that will go along with the book in muted colors. Something super detailed. I want a conceptually clear geographical map that will showcase the entire fantasy world the story takes place in and allow the reader to clearly understand where everything is.

Right! I forgot that part ha. Sorry!

I’m not working with a timeline at all. This is something I want done with a certain look so I’m picky about the style if anything.

And my budget maxes out at $450.

Sounds good. I will note that a highly detailed map may not print well in a book that on average will be 6 inches by 9 inches! That means the most space you will likely have in the book is 12x9 inches. That will be about 3k on a monitor. So when you consider the end goal of placing this world into a book, it might make more sense to split it into multiple maps for the continents to retain the detail level you want. Remember that each continent in the novel print will probably be about 2-3 inches. It sounds like what you want will be more suited to a poster by your description of "super detailed". If you separate it into continent maps you'll have more room for detail in the book, it just won't be viewed as "the whole world".

I would be interested as well, if you like either my hand drawn or topographic map styles.
