Mar / April '18 Lite Challenge: Map Guild World!
As part of the Fantastically successful Lite Challenge that just ended, a couple of you cleverly worked my online name into the name of your map. I am flattered, but it reminded me of fun challenges we have had in the past where everything in the map had to be named for our Guild members. Since it has been a long time and many of the regular members have changed, I think it is time to do it again.
So the idea is to create any kind of map you want, but every part must be named after Guild members. Lots of ways to do this. One way is a Regional or continental map where everything is named Diamond Mountains, Kaceyville, The Great Desert of Straf, etc. Or a city map with streets and buildings and points of interest with names like Mouse Lane, Arsheesh Park, Chashio Court..... Then again one clever cartographer made a really cool fantasy building and noted where each of us lived, I loved Bogies Room but I wish they would let me out more often...
Win a silver compass, you know you want one, it is calling your name.
The Challenge will run until the end of the day on the 14th of April, (Midnight eastern daylight time between the 14th and 15th, more or less, depending on when I can get to the computer to start the voting) and then there will be 3 days of voting. Someone is going to win a Shiny Silver Compass, could be you!
As usual, title your threads: "Mar / April '18 Lite Challenge: << your title here >> "
Don't forget to put the hashtag: ### Latest WIP ### in front of all WIP pictures, and especially in front of your final map. And for you new members, there is a WIP button that automatically posts this for you. Try it, You'll like it!
And remember, if you put more than one image on the same post, only one of them gets picked up.
Quick rules reminder: The Lite Challenge is open to anyone who has not already won 3 Silver compasses, 1 Gold Compass, or been selected as a featured Cartographer's Choice Map.
Also, the map has to be started after the first day of the challenge, no reusing older maps even if they were not finished.
Come on now, you know you want to do this!!
