    Default The Mappa Discworld

    Hello esteemed guild members !

Today I'm extremely proud to share with you what has been the most ambitious map I had the privilege to work on so far...

The Mappa Discworld, as imagined by Sir Terry Pratchett.

    Mappa_Discworld_Color_by_Marc_Moureau.jpgMappa_Discworld_Sepia_by_Marc_Moureau.jpg

Faithful to the 1995 original ‘Discworld Mapp’ laid out by Stephen Briggs & illustrated by Stephen Player.

Commissioned and devised by Discworld Emporium’s own Ian Mitchell and illustrated by yours truly.

It is double-sided, featuring a full-colour rendition for the casual armchair tourist, and a sepia annotated map for the more academic explorer.
The whole map has been fully hand-drawn over many months to depict not only the lands of the Disc, but its peoples, flora & fauna, commodities, routes of trade as well as divers figures expressing events both historical and mythological...

    Size : 100 x 89 cm

Created with Photoshop and my faithful Wacom Intuos Pro.

Should you wish to acquire it, it is available at the Discworld Emporium.

As a long time fan, I hope I managed to bring some of Sir Terry's magic into this map, and I hope you will enjoy it as well !

Truly magnificent ! It has the air of Josh Kirby about it too which is a style that is quite unique. Well done indeed. Surely another strong contender for the annual awards.

Thank you so much ! I'm delighted you thought of Josh Kirby. I'm quite fond of his original covers and I think they influenced me a lot while I was working on this piece.
