I've seen some maps repeated several times already.
I've seen maps that were posted later appear and those that were posted earlier not at all.

It does depend upon whether the maps merely have been posted or have been posted in a gallery.

Thanks. Would a gallery be the Finished Maps thread?
That is if I want to see my maps in the Random Gallery Images I've got to post it there?
I've got one map in the Finished Maps thread currently and I haven't seen it in the Random Gallery Images yet even though I log in almost daily to check and what I find in the Random Gallery Images are other images that were posted later as well as a repeat of other images...

Well, I'm still seeing more maps repeated. At first I thought one of the criteria would be rating or that some maps are maybe tagged for the Random Gallery but seeing at least one crayon drawing on lined paper, I don't think so. Now, I think it's the random 'code' that's messed up.

I think it's actually maps from Albums in people's profiles, but I'm not positive.

But a picture collage came out twice in a few days and is currently showing.

It is statistically more likely to see a duplicate of any image than to see one of yours. (ref Birthday "Paradox") Maybe? One of the uber-mathaletes might be able to give a more sane answer....
