Default Map 1 - Matthew's Land (Name TBA)

Well well, here I am. Just a year late.

With permission of J. Edward I am doing Section 1, the big gaping whole in the middle. It has taken me a while to get started because I had a few commissions to take care of, but here's the start! Just some mountains.

    A lot of mountains.

    Here is the original.

    Looking great so far Matthew

Are you doing any kind of socio-political back story, or leaving the canvas blank?

    Thanks!

I probably will, I just haven't thought about it yet.

Here's an update with forests and shading. I hope to start thinking about a backstory for the map.

Looking good. Will be great to have the hole filled in too.

    What gorgeous autumnal colours, Matthew

EDIT: yeah, I know - you haven't started colouring it yet, but don't you think overlay shading is a beautiful colour if you get the right paper to start with?

Thank you, Mouse! I do really like overlay shading, and sometimes it's tempting to not to do the coloring and keep the nice autumn colours.
