    Default Had to join

Hello everyone, I am glad to have joined this guild.

Actually, I have been thinking about joining for at least a week or two after watching some tutorials on map making on YouTube. But I must say that my main decision was to go one step further in my cartogaphy's skills.

So far I have learned on my own and though I did look a little on the internet and tryed to copy Lord of the Ring's style (which I was not able) I simply ended up having my own way of drawing things.

The reason why I started map making was for a novel project. Right now I am working on my third version of my novel (and just made my seventh version of my Kastosian map...)

The pictures I will show will simply be my third version, my fifth and my sixth. Still need to scan my newest one.

So far, I have drawn a total of 16 maps so I could expand my world.

    Welcome to the Guild Elterio!

I really like the third map in the series you've posted above -especially the forests. Is it all hand drawn? Must have taken you ages but the result is worth it. Really nice style.

    Welcome welcome!

Nice map, I echo what Ravells said about the forests. I don't believe I'd have patience to do them like that, so good job!
I'll rep you right now, and I look forward to seeing many more maps from you!

I offer map commissions for RPG's, world-building, and books

Forgot to say that I used Gimp to name things and clean dirty spots (like accidental ink dot)
So first is by hand, then scan it on comp, then cleaning and naming.

Yes, it is all hand made. As for the forest... Aye... It is LONG and BORING! But the result is Worth it. I do have to say that I am more the detailed type of guy than the artistic one. This is why I end up having to copy the map twice in order to name everything...

welcome to the guild - you look like you're well on your way with mapping I'd suggest you'll make a WIP thread for your map while you work on it so people can critique and help with any questions
