Map Smuggler's Den. Lite Challenge Entry

So, here is my entry into this months lite challenge that I didn't quite finish on time Must be about 3 hours late? Oh well, here is the end result more or less. I might do some coloring if i feel like coming back to it one day. Enjoy!

Really like the added color it ties the background border with the map, great job. Maybe slightly more shadow? for depth?

I also agree with the lack of contrast in the final result. Painting with grey scale and then colorizing is a new technique for me. It seems like the contrast that I had in grey was lost in the conversion. Plus i didn't actually paint on top anyway, it's just a straight change in hue. Something that i'll have to work on for next time, possibly playing with curves could fix quite a bit.

It's a real shame you couldn't quite get this done on time for the challenge, the added colour really brings it to life that extra bit. Really gorgeous work, Iceman!

This is great. I love maps like this. I've wanted to try my hand at them, but just haven't had the spare time.

This just gets better and better.

I noticed you named and shamed the thieving scoundrel who helped himself when others weren't looking.
