    Default Sharing some other Art

Hello , I am not sure if I did , but I would like to share some other Non Map art I did and recently brushing up...

In 2012 I decided to make a mod for Skyrim called Conan Hyborian age, if you like Skyrim and Conan its a must have ... but that's another story , I spent a whole month literally recreating in 3d the Atlantean sword of Conan , which is also one of my favorite swords of all times, I also for the next two months worked on recreating other assets from the movie of Conan the Barbarian from 1982, one of my favorite fantasy movies ...
I did so not only the Atlantean sword but also the Father sword and the Valeria Sword ...

I never did really a good decent rendering and I only used the High poly model to create a lower resolution one adapt for the Skyrim game but I wanted today to retake in hands the old high poly moden and use it for showing up what mostly remained for years hidden in my folders...

    So here it is ...

The Atlantean Sword of Conan the Barbarian

There are more poly in that sword than in all of Whiterun, almost.

How long would be the blade in reality?

Thanks, the high poly model is some million polygons , I used it to extract the normal maps for the game low poly model , lenght should be around 1m.

Do you know why the lower part of the blade is wider?

Nope , I guess it was a design artistic choice.

That's pretty cool. I still like those movies.

BTW your artstation link is broken it added a %20 where the space is, it works if you remove the space.

On a real blade, the design would allow for the weapon to be used with two hands well separated, for a thrusting attack. It isn't one of those impractical fantasy sword designs.

    What Diamond said.

This inspired me to stay up late two nights to watch the movies.
Very different from modern action movies!
They reminded me of the old spaghetti westerns.
Long on scenery and short on people and chatter.

The movie poster on the front of the DVD case shows Conan (Arnold)
holding the sword in a two hand grip with one hand on the base of the sword above the cross-guard.
