Default RPGMapMaker's Vault of Free Map Elements

    Welcome to the Elements Vault

I wanted to start up a "better named" place where I can post many different resources as I make them.

Older resources can be found in these posts:
    Brushes & Things
    Town Buildings & Trees

Most of the files here will be .png for compatibility. Just use you editing software of choice to cut them out and drop them onto your map.

Note: For icons and things that have a white internal background set the transfer mode of the layer to multiply for best results depending on the background color of your map.

    Default Mountains & Hills

    Mountains & Hills

    Hi all,

Here is something I have wanted to post for a long time... a set of mountains and hills! The set comes with each element on its own layer in the Photoshop PSD. With the png version you will have to cut each one out to use it and I thought having the PSD would just be easier for those with Photoshop compatible software.

Here is what they look like:

    Here is a transparent .png:

Here are some .psd files for each type (so you don't have to cut them all out)
    Mountains_set4.psd
    Hills_set4.psd

Here are a few more compasses for you maps. Let me know if you want or need an esclusive rose for your map and I can make you one to your taste.

Note: to get the image above using the .png I set the compass layer to have a dark brown color overlay and set the transfer mode for the color overly to lighten.

Here are some more compasses for you maps.

Note: To get them to look right on your maps in Photoshop I set the compass layer to have a color overlay (set to the color needed for your map) and set the transfer mode for the color overlay to lighten.

Here are even more compasses for you maps.

This set has the secondary points facing the sides of a Hex shape. This will make them look and work better on Hex Maps.

Note: To get them to look right on your maps in Photoshop I set the compass layer to have a color overlay (set to the color needed for your map) and set the transfer mode for the color overlay to lighten.
