Wip WIP - Regional Map for a friend's D&D campaign

So a girlfriend of mine, and fellow DM, is starting a new homebrew campaign. However, she seemed to have writer's block and NO idea what or where it would take place. So she asked if i would make up a map that might give her some inspiration for a story, since she knew i enjoyed fooling around as an amateur cartographer for my own homebrew. She only asked for a mostly human Duchy nearby a small mountain range kingdom of Orcs. I created a larger land mass, but below is the only area i have completed for her, as she will keep me informed of her campaign's progress and I will add for her as needed.

Looks great, lorelei! I like that lava flow in the bottom mountains.

    Hope your friend is inspired!

Pretty neat - i especially like how your icons look on this map, as well as the detailing of farmlands/mountains.
Out of interest what program(s) did you use to create this map ?
