Another week, another map, this time in color, with lots of teeny trees and buildings. I never did ask, but hope the client's choice of the name "Calcifer" was a nod to our favorite sass-mouthed fire demon. Procreate/Photoshop

Nice! The texture seems a little low in quality, but otherwise the map looks great.
Thanks, Kel! And how do you mean? (This is also a really lo-res version since the original was too big to post. )
Mm, now that you say it, maybe it is just the overall low resolution, as it seems to be present all over. Basic JPEG compression artifacts visible throughout the piece - I just assumed the texture was to blame. My bad!
Love the colour of this Liz Ink.
Agree with Kell on the low-res artifacts. Just wondering, did you enlarge a parchment image to use as a texture? If so, maybe you just blew it up a little too much and that's what's causing it.
Otherwise, looking pretty nice. Buildings are particularly neat!
Thanks, Greg! Hm, I may have enlarged the texture by an inch or two, but not enough that that would be the problem. I bet it's the compression, though, I probably ticked the lowest quality option or something. Comparing it to the original piece, I do see the difference. That's what I get, being so miserly about my hard drive space I guess. XD
A cool and consistent map & style, Liz' ! I love the subtle variations on the color, which makes the forests & grasslands less flat, and your trees are adorable ^^
Ah, I recall seeing this over on Instram and wishing to see a larger version. Nice to see all the details. I like those forests.
Cheers,

Love it Jessica and especially the cast shadows of the mountains (that I never add to my maps because I seem unable to make them look right).
