    Default Littlebridge - CD3 town

This is a map that I've played around with the last couple of days. The map depicts the town Littlebridge in Armadien, the forest kingdom. The town is situated just south of the Traal mountains, quite close to the area known as the "Traal territory" or "Traal infected lands". The town is quite fortified because of it's closeness to the Traals, that sometimes decide to come and try to plunder.

The town is made in CD3 and the labeling is done in PS CS5. I've also added some filters to make it look more like a painting. This is something I've experimented with for quite some time, and I think that the end result is rather ok. I'm considering this map as done, but I'm posting it up here as a wip if someone has any good ideas or if you see something out of the ordinary.

I hope you like it and all kind of critique is welcome

Nice one Clercon, I really like the layout and choice of colours. Imho the font is hard to read and looks a little bit lost in the map.

I like those little fields behind the houses I think I'm going to add something like this in my map, too, looks quite convincing.

Thanks for the comments. Here is a small update of the map. I've darkened the river and put some more white behind the labels to make them stick out a bit more.

I really like the soft painterly style on this. It looks really nice.

There is a tutorial in the tutorial section of the forum that explains how you get the painting effect. Iwrote it the other day so it should be on the first page.

looks good - I really like the colors, the legend is a little "weak", I'd turn up the opacity on the background to make the text stand out more
