    Default Peanut Butter

    Hello Guid !

It's time to go for a new style ! I've been working on a new technique that will allow me to produce maps more quickly while keeping the same level of quality.

This is my first prototype : High contrast with clearly defined shadows and strong outlines. I think it works pretty well. The drawing is more impactful and the whole process saves me a lot of time.

This is probably the funniest map I created in a long time, and I'm definitely willing to do more in this style !

By the way, yes, some of these labels don't make any sense at all...

A3 size, made with Corel Painter. I hope you will enjoy it !

    Very nice indeed!

The map has a very detailed illustrated look and captures a lot of playfulness at the same time.

These are fantastic! I love the colour version, but I'm really drawn to the sepia toned one (the middle pic) too. It's so striking, even without colour.

Glad to hear you've found a time-saving technique, and hope it pays off for you. If it can help you produce work of this quality, it's a winner!

Really great map and the labels really are enjoyable. It looks like some characters just found the map and wrote whatever came to mind.

I love your new style ! More close to kind of « cartoon » ( bande dessinée) it’s splendid !

And this map is really funny, with a lot of nice and funny touches !

Can’t wait for others map to show !

You were already prolific, Marc, even before impending any time-saving techniques!

This style is certainly a bit different than your previous work, but it looks excellent. It's got a bit of a cartoon vibe, and send like it would go well with a board game. The colors and details are great.

The tone you've set is second to none. I simply love this, everything about it.

That style will go well with many young adult books, so it should serve you well.
The stark contrast is definitely a plus for book printing.
