Help Need a physical atlas map

    Hello everyone.

A while ago I'm designing a map with the help of friends from this forum, as seen in this post: http://www.cartographersguild.com/sh...ad.php?t=29431
I solved the problem of mountains and rivers, so I would like a more professional or realistic map style now. Just to see it better and then to place references like forests, cities and roads.

The requirements could be the following:

    Commission:
-Unpaid. I don't have money and I don't know how to do transactions.

    Subject:
-Now I have the continent's form, the relief and the rivers. There's also a grid that indicates the scale. I just want to have a clean, nice map.

    Style:
-Looking something like this map-style (from the user Pixie): http://www.cartographersguild.com/at...1&d=1407109049
(Without the spherical shape effect, just flat)

Can be a similar style or a better one. You can add the effect you consider appropiate

    Quality and Size:
-I don't need something professional, just something neat and pretty.
-If it's possible, I'd like to print it.
-Dimensions: The map I put is small because I had to upload it to the forum, but the original image is 18000 (width) x 12000 (height) pixels.

    Time Restrictions:
    -None, no trouble.

    Copyright:
-I'd like to have the copyright, because it is a personal project. I will not publish it, but I don't want that others use it.

    Contact:
-Can contact me by private message or facubaci--@--gmail.com

Please help me to finish this map

    Thank you very much!

Is this add still active, or shall I move it to the archives?

I might be interested because I would like to replicate Pixie's style but it could be very time consuming.

I did a sample here without the shader: Attachment 71272
It depend : how much detailed do you want it to be?

Yes I guess I could , in fact I already did . Could not resist.

I did find a technique to speed things up to do large areas. Just use the pencil to draw the border with a small brush with details between two zones and use the bucket to fill the rest. Sprinkle some color here and there to add mountains/hills.

I was not able to have the same style as Pixie. His map depict the water flow and erosion process pretty well. I can't replicate it, it look too random. Well, maybe I should mention that Pixie invested at least 40h in this process just for one mid sized continent.

Do you have Photoshop, I could send you the file. Or maybe I could just send the layer as a PNG. There is a lot of corrections to do, on the coasts and with the rivers.

It's really a great job! If I have photoshop, could send me the map without the rivers and I might add the rivers

the reliefs have been very realistic !
