China does a google maps

China has done a website which is like google maps but is not by google. Since the layout is similar, in the two min play I had I can tell you that the kanji top right of map area is for map or satellite view but someone else will have to help out with the rest.

Why you wouldn't use google I don't know, but this is good for a second opinion. You would probably get better lables and textural kanji stuff this way tho.

Doesn't China block all access to google. They don't want the masses to know that anything exists outside of China.. out of curiosity on China's google, does it show China as an island.

It's interesting that they aren't using the same Mercator projection as all the other global web maps like Google, OSM, Yahoo, Bing, etc. It looks like Equirectangular instead.
