    Wip Map of Agartha (Égishirgal)

So, I'm working on a new version of Agartha, which is the main "world" of my Égishirgal setting. You can find the start on my "tests & sketches" thread and old versions of the Batikshal Empire & Safrân somewhere in the finished map section.

More on the Shardom Empyron part & the start on Tharrjân.

This is absolutely outstanding ! The level of detail you achieve is humbling.

My two cents : in sepia, your mountain ridges pop out a bit too much in close view (their line width seems a bit above the average of the rest of the map). It's most certainly not a problem but you might want to check how it would look like with a slightly lighter color (to make them a wee bit more discreet). Just a suggestion that might be complete crap

Amazing work as always! Your maps really set the standard for this style. I'm inclined to agree that the mountains are perhaps a little over-emphasized compared to other landforms (particularly the forests), but it can be hard to tell with rough draft maps.

Thanks a lot guys ! Well, you might be right (the shading is adding to it, I guess), I don't know... It's a way to reinforce things and I will color the map, so that could change things. I'll see how it works when I'll do the coloring part I guess .
There will be probably plenty of things to adjust

Only the cities are missing in Tharrjân before going to Aonoma.

Yes... that's the world I was talking about for an atlas. As Thomas says, the level of detail is dazzling and, as I've already said, the rendering of the biomes is breathtaking! It just makes you want to immerse yourself in this world and discover every corner of it!

Ah! Well, it's more continental sized (since it's part of the 7 worlds). And thanks again for the praise. The other worlds are more "fantastical" since they are strongly related to an element (plus the demonic underworld and the celestial heavens). On the other hand, I'm drawing it with a perspective (compared to the old one), so the northern are countries are smaller than the southern on this map. The thing is that I wanted to do a detailed map of the whole Agartha to avoid doing each part of it...
Things to think about I guess. First, finish this one!

The two free cities of Aonoma to do, then it will be the Shogunat Jihonn.

As planned, I'm starting the Shogunat Jihonn. Some challenging lands to tackle.

I planned to place the mythical beasts at the bottom of the map and I'm thinking it could be nice to put miniatures of the 12 major gods & goddesses at the top. They are the leaders of the 12 pantheons.

Cool, I like that idea. Did you take inspiration from anything in particular for the arrangement?

Thanks Katilin ! Well, probably here and there for the inspiration. I had in mind the map of the Wheel of Time done by Dimension Door when I started this remake of my old map. And I quite like the way some cartographers plays with scrolls here and there. Fort the perspective effect, I used it to help me draw the map, so why not do it to the global thing too. Plus, people quite liked it when I did it for fun on my Nightfall map, so...

But, I'm testing things along the way, and might encounter some problems. Right now, I realize I'll have to apply the same thing to some of the labels (if not all), and that I'll have to do some kind of panel for the beasties at the bottom... Here' the global view of the current state of the whole thing (at 50%).
