    Map Vincudia - Satellite Realism

    Hi everyone,

Bit of an introductory post, but I just stumbled across this specific thread afterwards. I've been developing a method to create pseudo-satellite realism instead of a painterly effect, using a variety of brushes and over a hundred layers. This was the first commission I had in this style, and while I have improved since, I didn't want this map to go to waste. It's blank by request of the client, but for the purpose of showing the artstyle, it's fine.

    Let me know your thoughts.

Looks really good - you will have to show us what kind of method you used and how you manage 100 layers in an app.

Unfortunately I work in an organised chaos environment, kind of like painting on a canvas when you just whack colours and textures together and then refine it bit by bit. I do everything in Photoshop on a 2014 Mac so I'm amazed its handling documents at their original size.

That's good work... and there must have been a lot of it ! The realism is quite impressive... Apparently, you had to spend a lot of time on details? A beautiful technique that you have developed here, for a breathtaking result !
