    Map Gh'orna -fantasy map commission

    Hey,

This map is a private commission done for a GM. It's digitally hand-drawn in Photoshop, original size is A4. The isometric view was chosen to emphasize the mountainous island shape.

Hope you'll like it. As usual, feel free to rate, rep or run away

That's amazing Max, a very, very convincing illustration! Impressive is the words that best describes it

However, small feedback: perhaps I'm blind, but I think you have forgotten to pinpoint the 1 (black monolith) on the actual map. Have you considered having the numbers on the map in some kind of "order"? Would really help the viewer see what is what at first glance.

    Cheers,

Thank you guys. Actually I probably hide the #1 layer on accident while saving the low res jpg, I fixed it.

I did it according to the client sketch, he might have some reasons for that, but I understand your point

Love the mountains, and I don't see a #1 either.

Very nice! When I saw this in your workshop, the bit labeled the Phalanges intrigued me because the forms are so different from the rest of it... was curious if it was based off of a real place. Do you know?

Thanks Chasio ! I don't think this is based off a real place. Anyway, the reference material I had was just a top down sketch that I slightly modified and turned into an isometric view.

Ah, darn. I was hoping it was some wonderful place somewhere I could look up to study the geology of. I'll just enjoy your illustration instead.

The name probably helps to think of something like this

Well, if that imaginary place makes you want to travel there, I guess I made my job

Wonderful drawing A little more warmth in the color scheme (some more brown tones in the mountains maybe) would have made it 100% perfect in my opinion, but I still love it.
