This map was commissioned by a writer to print and hang on his wall to inspire him as he works on polishing his first book for publication! Painterly cartography, as is one of the styles I offer to my clients who want a softer and ethereal look to their map.

Thank you, Illanthar! While I certainly do receive commissions for conventional color scheme maps, I do quite enjoy playing with evocative and unusual colorations and I think it's one of my strengths.
