Default June 2016 Challenge : Fairy Lutece

OK, still running tests in Wilbur, I have some time left to do some mapping meanwhile. More a placeholder than anything else right now, but this is gonna be a fantasy version of the center of Paris.

Btw, I hope I'm not wrong about the challenge purpose since I've made disappear some bridges, the Canal St Martin and enlarged the Seine?

Nope, you're good, Ilanthar. It just has to be recognizable as being based on a location; now that we know where it is, we can always pull up a map of Paris and see.

So, I've done tests on a small part of the map... And may consider doing a smaller city than I first planned. Don't know if it's clear or not and if it's too or not enough detailed... Just tell me what you think guys!

Well, if you're going to commit to that level of detail on the whole thing, it'll be AMAZING, I can tell you that.

Even that tiny portion you've done looks incredible. I can imagine how absolutely stunning it would be for the full map to be like that.

This'll be fantastic, but oh man, you've only got 2.5 weeks to finish!! I think it would take me 2.5 months to fill the space at that level of detail.

    Watching with interest!

Thanks everyone, you're too kind! I was really concerned about the size (possibly too small) and the "too crowded" feeling that comes with it. I guess it's OK then. I've done a bit more, so you'll be able to have a better idea. I've changed a few things about colors and roads... but that's not so different.

Ahah, yup, hence I think I'm gonna reduce the number of buildings and not doing what I have in mind at first. And I probably won't draw chimneys and small stuff

But hey! You could try to go on with the small détails after the race! Would like to see what you had in mind.
