    Wip Galaxies

Some galaxies I have done so far.
The first two are quite similar and are basically based on a tutorial with some changes by me.

The third one is more or less an original design with only a few techniques from the tutorial.

Purely personal preference, but I like Galaxy 1 the most.
I like the wisps of cloud/dust and lots of specific stars.

galaxy 2 and galaxy 3 seem to have to much cloud/dust and not enough stars.

And that's the reason why I started galaxy 3. I wanted to find a middle ground between astronomy and art. I really doubt you could see a single star from that distance. So I tried to keep some faint stars, but most merge into 'star dust'.

I personally like 1 & 2 better. I feel being able to identify single stars makes it look more realistic. However, I do feel the galaxy core seems a little to intense. like it need to softened up a little more, or fade it out more.

Well i like the large cores, its giving the galaxies more 'weight' and are one of the few Spots giving the whole Thing a PoI.

@Max: Why not? I wish to see the Maximum Galaxy!

    Map

Update on galaxy 3. I added some coloured and dark nebulas and clusters and did a general refinement compared to the previous version.
