Wip Thuvar Continent (World of Eldoran)

Ok, after some scribbles in the general & miscellaneous mapping thread, I'm starting seriously to work on this continental map.
First, I'm starting to curse my PC for not being powerful enough...

I will go from the North-West to the South-East, line by line.
I'm quite glad of how it turns out (it takes a lot of times, though), but I think I'll have to do something a bit different for the more hilly areas...

This style is great ! If I had a tiny proposition to make, it would be to slightly blend the ridge lines into the paper (or lightly reduce their opacity).

Interesting start and project! Very curious as to how this will turn out. I will certainly keep coming back here

Looks very interesting. I like this kind of top down view styles.
Is is a crop of a larger continent?

    Thanks everyone!

So, I reworked the western part, which you can compare with the eastern one, and I would be glad to have your view.

@Thomas : I reduced the lines from 40 to 35%. Is it enough?
@Eilathen : Hehe, glad to see you lurking here.
@Voolf : yup, it's based on my Eldoran world and more precisely Thuvar is here

I know I'm gonna sound like a grumpy man who's never satisfied... but I didn't really liked what I got. So... I restarted it again...
It's more smooth. I like it better, but it's not really fitting the continental scale.

Don't know what to do with it, so I'll probably do a break with this.

Good colours and i like the relief work on the mountians. I am working on a similar approach; a world map taken down to smaller areas, even down to towns and streets, so will watch and learn.

OK... I'm gonna try to resurrect this.

I started over again. Finally, I'm just working at x2 in size, in order to keep the scale right and not lose myself in unnecessary scribbles/details.
I've worked on this late afternoon. I think it's already a better start. The green color for the lands is more a placeholder than anything else right now.

Pretty good looking but it seems to me it clashes with the rivers, I dunno why ...

    Thanks for the feedback, guys.

Some more. I decreased some the base "topography" layer in order to have something even more appropriate to the continental scale (or so I think).

I added some shading for the rivers in the NW part and decreased the opacity of the lines a bit, is it better?
