CC3 - How do I take small scale to large scale?

Alright... after a lot of looking at tutorials and having a general region map for my reference, I want to create a larger scale printout the size of 1 subplot (of 25 that I decided to divide the map into).
Point is... I haven't yet been able to figure out how to select and "copy / paste" such a portion to a resized drawing board to a) add some more detail and b) have a map the size of a tenday travel time instead of months.

Is there anyone who knows a fairly easy way to do so?
There is a thread from June last year which went unanswered, so hopefully one can help not just me, but also a fellow struggler.

I don't know that there IS any easy way to do it. The way I do it, is to cut and paste an area that I want to 'blow up' into a new document, and use that as a base so locations and distances stay the same. But I don't attempt to maintain pixel coherence and add on to that base; it's impossible. I just redraw everything on new layers using that clipped section as a base reference.
