    Map A little house

I'm working on a new D20 Cartographer map pack (check out another here and here. This time, I'm giving a shot at making a building battlemap.

Right now I just have a basic house shape, first floor. Not sure what to fill the rooms with at the moment, but this is the general shape. I might end up making a "town pack" with a couple houses, an inn, a armor and weapons shop, even a small church. At the moment though, I'd welcome your thoughts, and could use some constructive criticism and recommendations. So, what looks good and what looks bad? What should I fill the rooms with (top floor will be bedrooms)? I'll be sure to post my progress as I go.

*Update*: scroll down for the more recent version--yes I fixed the weird stairs that led nowhere!

Good stuff, looks like my house

This is a great little map but my only criticism is the stairs. They have no landing, they just go straight into the north wall. =P

    Default Update on the house

Hey there. I kinda re-did the whole thing (the old one had some sizing problems so I re-did this in a cleaner, more organized psd file)--I realized action was likely to happen in front of the house so I made the map vertical. I also tried to fix up those stairs. Thanks for pointing that out, guys! Hopefully I can move forward now, rather than laterally. Image Added to original post.

So what are you going to do when the players say 'we go up the stairs'.

    I like the outhouse.

Needs a hearth or kitchen area....

    Very usable little place.

Map Update to the first floor

Welp, I added in a bunch of furnishings, added a road (which I think I might not like....)--just about all the stuff I wanted. I think this is about 90% done. I did most of the work in photoshop and sometimes I worry that is looks a little too computer generated.

    Any tips/thoughts/advice?
